(Check back will change from time to time)

HALF TIME - Bob Buford I read this book many years ago and it talks about getting older and moving from “Success to Significance” for a Man

THE RESOLUTION FOR MEN -Stephen and Alex Kendrick. Good “Call to Action” for Christian Men with a good case with harrowing statistics as to why men need to Step up now.

ZIG ZIGLAR BOOKS - Zig and his family have been my mentors since 2014. Zig has written on Business, Sales, Relationships, Motivation and a host of topics. Zig truly “Walked the Talk” as they say. He is in Heaven now but his son , Tom , leads the family and company into a new era. Check out “Born to Win “ as a great book to start with.

GRIT - Angela Duckworth I never though I would enjoy a book written by a psychologist, but Angela does a great job explaining complex studies and distills the facts about GRIT and perseverance.

JOHN MAXWELL BOOKS - Like Zig Ziglar, any of John Maxwell’s books on Business and Leadership are time tested and Gold.

MEN on FIRE-Stephen Mansfield This new book for 2020 is a great motivator that helps men realize the Fire within them.

MANSFIELD’S BOOK of MANLY MEN - Stephen Mansfield A Quick read with very practical steps to stay in community and on track. (Funny title but important topic)

THE COLOR of COMPROMISE- Jemar Tisby This book will break your heart. It is part History Lesson part path forward as Jemar examines the history ( back from the 1600’s) of slavery in North America and often the christian churches “blind eye” to the horrors and sin of the practice of “owning other humans”.

ATOMIC HABITS - James Clear A very practical prescriptive book on what it takes to make and keep Good Habits and Break Old Ones. Looking to make a change or in the middle of some new routines this is a must listen/read.

THE REAL MANS HANDBOOK- Larry Winget and Chris Widener Larry and Chris wrote a quick book with very practical points that you can build upon. I listened to this book and gather it might be best to consume it this way; the authors narrate it.

COMPASSION and CONVICTION - Justin Giboney and Michael Wear- Written a few years ago but very topical in 2020 as it discusses what Christians should do in the political process irregardless of your Political Party affiliations. A real eye opener

Called to Create - Jordan Raynor A book about calling , purpose and vocation for creatives and business people too.

The Codling of the American Mind- J. Heidt and G. Lukianoff A fascinating research study of how some students are emerging from our University/ College System.

The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry- John Mark Comer John Mark explains practical steps to slow down your life and regain rest and peace.

10% Entrepreneur- Patrick McGinnis A great business book for someone life myself who has a full time Corporate job but does entrepreneurial ventures on the side.

The Good Life - Derwin Grey ( Pastor and Former NFL player) The Title says it all, it is not what you think. Great stories about real life struggles to attain the “Good Life”

24/6- Matthew Slee MD. A Physicians perspective on Rest and Sabbath , why we need it today and how to get there.

I am Restored- Lecrae This book took me by surprise, I am not into Hip-Hop or Hip-Hop culture but this is an honest raw look at superstar Lecrae and how he found restoration.
